The nursery was established in the late 1980’s by parents of the Bell Language School, later to be taken over by senior members of staff, one of whom is still one of our managers to this day.

Over the past few years the community has grown and in April 2011 we moved into our newly refurbished college building, adjacent to the original setting.

In 2018, we extended across two settings and developed the Bell Day Pre-school site at the Lord Butler Leisure Centre.

Our children thrive in a safe and supportive environment, according to the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage, where we work in partnership with the parents.

We offer children a home from home atmosphere, maintaining this with high levels of staff and keep ratios as  generous as possible. Ensuring quality learning opportunities and offering ample experiences throughout.

We are a Community Interest Company, and as such it is very important that we serve the local community in offering high quality childcare and employing local staff and trades people where possible.

We are set in an attractive residential area of Saffron Walden, serving the locality & within commuting distance of London & Cambridge.

Bell Day Pre-school is open for 51 weeks of the year. We open at 08:00 hrs and close at 18:00 hrs Mondays to Fridays , and offer both full days and half days.
