Extra curricular activities
Forest School
We have recently developed our Forest School programme and the children love to attend. Each child gets at least one 6 week session throughout the year to learn in the forest. Dave leads the forest school as he is a Level 3 Forest School Leader. Dave will then pass on his knowledge to all of the pre-school team.
Swimming
Born2Move
We are incredibly lucky to have a weekly swimming session with the Lord Butler leisure centre in their learner pool. The children attend a 30 minute lesson, learning lots of wonderful skills on how to swim, as well as being safe in the water. The children love to engage with the swim teachers and lifeguards, and learn a new routine whilst being social!
Twice a week the children have access to the onsite dance studio where they take part in tailor made virtual exercise classes for pre-school children.
The children follow the instruction videos and develop their gross and fine motor skills, whilst having fun following the theme of the week!
Spanish
Once a week, during term-time, the children engage with a Spanish lesson with Laura. Laura teaches across the area and the children love to learn a new language through song, games, and activities.
Currently, this is just on a Monday afternoon.
